Let us travel into the prime object of Namma Chennai, the History of 1^st SCA Fide Rating Tournament to be held from October 2^nd to 4^th at Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science

Magnanimous Murali Mohan has given away his 8 years old Capa Chess Academy, Mylapore Branch to his Senior most Asst Coach Sakthi Prabakar to run on his individual Banner in the year 2007, The Studious Coach branded his academy before the Chess fraternity as SHAKTHI CHESS ACADEMY. The Director SHYAMALA is taking the academy forward with her vision of progress into the students and chess. The main branch of Capa Chess Academy has also came under the roof of Shakthi Chess Academy due to the illness of the founder and Director Mr. Murali mohan.

Sakthi Prabhkar, fitted himself as Sr.Consultant of academy and on the self equipment process, he qualified as DEVELOPMENTAL INSTRUCTOR and without even leaving the field of arbitration he elevated to the position of INTERNATIONAL ARBITER, both the titles were by FIDE. Shakthi Chess Academy has shown its excellence in various area of Chess , now it has decided to explore the organizing the tournaments, for its first launch joined its hands with the Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science, Raja annamalaipuram, Chennai. The college has wide opened its campus to Shakthi Chess Academy next to Adayar times Rating Tournament, organized by TNSCA. Dr. MGR Janaki college has predetermined goals instead of seeking opportunities, for their students. 1^st SCA FIDE Rating Chess Tournament has been slated to conduct from October 2^nd to 4^th in the campus of Dr. MGR Janakai College of Arts And Science.
